Agassi doesn't shy away from the bad stuff and tells about his feelings and thoughts, taking readers on an intimate journey inside the mind and soul of a troubled, damaged champion. This story should be a lesson to everyone who struggles and everyone who feels like giving up hope. Rather than focus on his victories, Agassi focuses on the obstacles and defeats along the way. And somehow, in all of that, he accomplishes something extraordinary—he conveys humanity, and in that, a lesson about overcoming. Perhaps overcoming adversity isn't about making everything perfect, but rather about making one's life worth living.
